Mineral Crystal
Mineral Crystals are a consumable added to the Mineral Hoe by right-clicking with Mineral Hoe in hand and Mineral Crystals in your inventory. The Mineral Crystals are then used up when tilling dirt or grass.

Mineral Crystals are not needed in creative mode.

Previous Versions
Before version 1.3.1, the Mineral Crystal was used to turn dirt directly into Mineral Soil by right-clicking the dirt with a Mineral Crystal or by crafting the Mineral Soil with a Mineral Crystal.

The Mineral Crystal was also not returned when the Mineral Soil block was broken. Instead, the Mineral Soil block itself would be dropped.
